I am a lineman for the power company from Philadelphia and I was just recently in the area for work. I had to go into the ER on 1/10/24 for abdominal pain which ended up being Appendicitis. I got there at 1130am and walked out at 6pm with no appendix. Every single member of the staff I dealt with was kind and helpful and answered all my questions. Half the lights in the hospital were out from issues with the power and still these people didn’t skip a beat. From the triage nurse, to the ER nurse, the nurse practitioner, the admin guy that took my insurance, the two guys who did my CT scan, the anesthesiologist and her assistant, the nurses who prepped me for surgery, the entire surgical team that welcomed me into the OR with open arms and smiles, the two OR nurses who were so kind and gentle, Dr. Bryden who did the surgery and answered all my questions, and finally the two nurses in recovery who were so patient and kind as I came off the anesthesia and they got me toast and water and staid with me until my boss picked me up. Keep in mind most of these people had to be called in for my surgery! They probably didn’t have power at home and drove through crazy conditions to get there, how incredible! An 11/10 experience. If I could put more stars I would. Please show this to all the people who helped me and were working that day! Thank you Samaritan Medical Center

The whole team at Samaritan Ear Nose & Throat are a tremendous asset to our community. I always receive excellent and thorough care from the providers, and the support staff are top notch. Highly recommend!

I've been to Samaritan more than once. I've had no problems with the people working there. I was there in July of this year, for dehydration. The doctor was very nice & so were the nurses. They also did a CT Scan that night & the tech was great. Thanks to the doctor I saw that night, I got a neurology appointment for Syracuse taken care of. I did go by ambulance that night, & had to wait in the waiting room. That was not a problem. I was given IV fluids & sent home. Have not had a problem since. Everyone was very nice. I was seen in the morning hours of Christmas morning 2024. I was treated nicely. Saw a MD for the second time not some PA. They told me they couldn’t find what the problem was but that I needed to see a Neurologist. They also proved that I’m not diabetic. I have no problem going to SMC. I was seen at SMC just recently. I was seen by Kathy in the er, she was great. She told me about problems I didn't know I had. She checked on me multiple times that night. She gave medication that I needed.

I just had a major surgery at this hospital. I was well taken care of from the staff at the ER, as they promptly told my husband and I that we were too early and then gave us directions to the main hospital and the correct time. The checking in process was smooth, and the staff was very friendly and professional. We got some laughing going into the observation room from nurse Kim... We needed it as we were anxious. While I got ready for the OR, a plethora of doctors and nurses came in and out, EVERYONE was extremely professional and made sure that we're comfortable. A big shout out to my favorite nurse, she was my night nurse(Nurse Andrea). She was very gentle and caring and made sure that I was comfortable. My husband and I will forever be grateful to all the staff that had a hand in my care there. Thank you so much 💓 💗

I had a hysterectomy here. I just want to say how amazing the staff were. From registration to recovery. Amazing human beings. Caring. I was struggling bad in recovery from the surgery. They let me stay there for hours. They even offered to admit me but I wanted to go home. I hope they see this review and know that they made me so comfortable and I had nothing but help and smiles all along the way. God Bless you all.

I’ve heard many stories of mistreatment at this facility, and not to discount anyone else’s experience, I am truly sorry for the way you were treated. For me, I have had, mostly exceptional experiences over the past 10 years. I wanted to give Samaritan Medical Center a review out of appreciation for all they have done for me. Yes, I have had with a few cranky or rude nurses/staff here and there. but that is to be expected anywhere. The few times this did occurred, I respectfully reached out to patient relations and feel the issue was heard and handled. Even received follow up and apologies from staff. I wish to save others from this experience and hopefully help the staff know that they should not treat patients this way. I’ve experienced dozens of ER visit, between me and family members. I myself have had both outpatient and inpatient surgeries. I am currently a patient at the Walker Cancer center needing multiple MRI, CT scans and nuclear medicine scans. I’ve had a family member and friend visit Behavioral health both in ER and inpatient. My child’s ENT is also in the medical building. Too many wonderful staff members to mention, I have encountered so many staff members who are caring, hard working and true advocates for patient care. 99% of the time I have had exceptional care. These are hard working people who have shown me that they care. Please don’t let the few cranky apples ruin the whole bunch

I just got out of Samaritan Medical Center today. I was there for 12 days on the fourth floor. I’ve had a lot of hospital experiences for all the surgeries that I’ve had to endure, but this hospital I’ve never had any place take care of me like these nurses and Nursing assistants Everybody from transport, the lady that answers the phone to take your order for your food housekeeping. Everybody was pleasant with me. Smile share a laugh, and even though I was in there for something serious, they made the time there and enjoyable besides my pain. I enjoyed meeting every single one of them every single one of them was helpful and if I had a question, you know about something that was going on with me medically, I could ask him and they would take their time to answer it. These people that have rated this place so low I don’t understand it. I really don’t. I came in by ambulance into the ER and I don’t Remember much But what I do remember my time in the ER wasn’t bad when I was admitted it was 11 at night and by the next morning I knew that I was in the right place. The day that I was getting ready to leave, I’m scared to leave because I was afraid that what was going on with me might happen again in the are in that morning. Stopped what she was doing and told me it’s gonna be all right and told me that I could do this and not helped. I stopped crying and I left. I will always go to that Hospital. I’d like to say thank you to the team of Drs that figured all of this out for me and got me on the road to recovery thank you all of the RNs that took care of me on the fourth floor thank you the nursing assistants That took care of me thank you. I am forever. Grateful for all of you. Thank you.

Samaritan Medical Center is an incredible place for your medical needs the staff are incredible the front desk personnel are also incredible the doctor and nurses are awesome, I would highly recommend Samaritan Medical Center to anyone. The staff are very professional and they are pleasant very courteous they listen to all of your questions and concerns.

On behalf of my entire family, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the extraordinary care my mother received following her recent fall on the ice. What began as a moment of pure fear for us was met with immediate, selfless care from your ER staff. Being "out-of-towners" adds a specific layer of vulnerability to a medical emergency, but from the moment we arrived, we felt we were in the best possible hands. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to: The Orthopedic Team & Doctors: Thank you for your expertise and for the steady, direct communication that gave us confidence during a very scary and uncertain time. The 5th Floor Nursing Staff: Your compassion was the glue that held us together. You didn't just treat a patient; you cared for our Mom, as a human being with dignity and kindness. The Case Managers: Our primary focus and urgency was always to get Mom home. Navigating the logistics of a discharge and transport while being from out of town felt like an insurmountable task, but you helped us navigate every roadblock to ensure her safe return. The events of these past few days have been challenging for all of us, but the professionalism and heart shown by every member of the Samaritan Hospital team made a world of difference. You helped us turn a crisis into a successful journey home. With deepest gratitude!

The birthing center was very personal and welcoming. All of the staff made my daughter feel comfortable for her delivery.
